The International Protection Applicant Certificate (IPA Cert) is replacing the blue temporary resident certificates (TRC).

It is a digital certificate which will be uploaded to your IPO portal. It can be printed.

It contains your photo, your person ID number and is proof that you have applied for asylum.

The Government hope to create a "Verification Portal" in the future. This portal will allow public bodies (such as the Department of Social Protection) to verify the card is real and the status of your asylum application.
