What We Do Services and Supports Housing Housing Our Housing team work with people who have been through the protection process in Ireland and have received their status to help them realise their housing rights. This is mainly through advice and advocacy on social housing applications, access to HAP, and homeless services. Email Housing Transitioning from direct provision For people with status, we run a weekly ‘Housing Application Morning’ every Thursday at 10 am. This is a group workshop. We explain the current housing situation in Ireland We help you complete the relevant housing application form We help you prepare the necessary documents We assist you with submitting your application to the local authority We also have a weekly ‘HAP / Tenancy finding workshop’ every Friday This workshop will advise on: How HAP (housing assistance payment) works The difference between homeless HAP and mainstream HAP How to look for a private rental accommodation on daft.ie How to communicate with landlords Your rights and responsibilities as a tenant Reference letters Please email [email protected] to book a place in one of the workshops. Email Aoife The Horn of Africa clinic We are working with the ‘Horn of Africa’ community group to support people with their housing-related issues.
