Support Refugee Education
One of the most important ways we provide support is through the Irish Refugee Council’s Education Fund. This year we celebrated 10 years of the fund. Over this time, we have directly supported 433 people to access further and higher education. We received 809 applications in 2025, double the number received in 2024. Demand continues to outstrip the resources available, meaning many people cannot be supported despite their determination to study.
The demand for the fund continues to grow, while the funding available is at an all time low.

- €30 - €50 covers registration fees for PLC courses
- €100-€200 covers fees for PLC course
- €300 helps a student in Dublin with transport costs for one year
- €1000 provides a significant contribution towards undergraduate course fees
