Dr. Hassina Kiboua (PhD) is a multilingual professional, and expert in refugee law, asylum seekers’ rights, refugee resettlement, integration, and intercultural communication. With a background as a qualified lawyer, legal interpreter, and train-the-trainer, she brings a unique blend of legal, linguistic, and cultural expertise to her work.

Dr. Kiboua holds a PhD focused on the right of asylum applicants to access qualified interpreters, alongside a Master’s degree in International Law and an MPhil in Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution.

She delivers interactive, practice-oriented training programmes on refugee law, asylum procedures, cultural competency, and interpreting in refugee contexts, empowering professionals and interpreters to work effectively across cultures and to ensure inclusive, rights-based, and trauma-informed support for refugees and asylum seekers.
