The International Protection Act 2015 was signed into law on 30 December 2015. This legislation will significantly change the landscape of the Irish Protection system and will introduce a single Protection procedure. Drawing from the experience of experts in the field of international and European law this seminar examines how to implement such a system in a manner compatible with our international obligations

Speakers will include:

Professor Guy S. Goodwin-Gill (All Souls College, University of Oxford)
Nuala Mole (Senior Lawyer, the AIRE Centre, tbc)
Patricia Brazil (Lecture in Law, Trinity College, Dublin)
Ángel Bello Cortés (Solicitor, KOD Lyons)

This seminar is part of the ECRE-led project LEAP (Legal exchange and mutual learning between asylum practitioners to promote fundamental rights in the EU) and it will be of particular interest to asylum law practitioners, pro-bono practitioners working in this area and other key actors in the Irish protection procedure. Attendance is free of charge and CPD points are available upon request for legal practitioners. Further details to follow and please R.S.V.P. to Luke to reserve a place.
