Refugee Stories of Faith and Hope – Symposium & Photo Exhibition

Dublin City Interfaith Forum in collaboration with the Irish Refugee Council have the pleasure to invite you to a Symposium of Refugee Stories of Faith and Hope and a display of a Photo-Journal by Sid Bolton, the Hidden Lives of Refugees in Moria refugee camp on the Greek Island of Lesvos.

Moria is an ‘EU HOTSPOT’ camp on the island of Lesvos officially known as a reception and identification centre. This camp is the place where all new arrivals are fingerprinted, where security screening is carried out along with admissibility, asylum claims examination, detention and deportation.

Photography is forbidden in this closed camp and all the photos in this exhibition were taken necessarily clandestinely to reveal the reality of life for refugees there.
