The Sanctuary Runners’ Christmas Appeal

Give the gift of running to someone in Direct Provision this Christmas

This Christmas you can gift someone living in Direct Provision a pair of running shoes on behalf of yourself or a loved one.

In partnership with John Buckley Sports in Cork City, the Sanctuary Runners (supported by the Irish Refugee Council) will purchase a new pair of running shoes for someone in Direct Provision when you pledge €50 to the Sanctuary Runners’ Christmas Appeal.

Or if you want to help towards purchasing a pair of runners we’d be so grateful for a pledge of €25.

Also, you will be issued with a certificate, which can be personalised, confirming your donation to the appeal.

The Sanctuary Runners bring asylum seekers, refugees and the wider Irish public together through running in an ethos of Solidarity, Friendship and Respect

Our numbers keep growing and we would like all of our runners in Direct Provision to have adequate running shoes in which to run, jog and walk with us.

Now more than ever physical exercise for people living in the Direct Provision system is so important.

To donate a pair of running shoes to someone living in Direct Provision this Christmas please pledge your €50 or €25 and explain to us who you would like your donation certificate to be made out to.

Then we can email or post the certificate to you.
