The Russian invasion on Ukraine has increased drastically the number of displaced people and refugees in the world.

Between the Talibans' push in Afghanistan, the war in Ukraine and all the different countries in the world, the Irish Refugee Council has been helping more than 10,000 refugees.

For more than 30 years, we have been supporting people who have lost everything to settle and rebuild their lives in our communities.

Through our Drop In Centre, we give advice everyday to people arriving in Ireland. We also have a dedicated helpline in Russian and Ukrainian language for refugees from Ukraine.

We also offer them support with accommodation, education, family policies and employment.

Please donate today to help refugees, including those fleeing Ukraine, in desperate need of expert support. Donate to make Ireland a safe place for families who have had to leave everything behind.

Our impact so far:

  • Daily updates to our information note
  • Receiving and responding to more than 6,000 telephone calls since the 24 February
  • Receiving and responding to more than 1000 emails from people
  • Various media appearances including Saturday with Katie Hannon on RTÉ
