The Irish Refugee Council is in its 30th year of supporting people fleeing conflict and persecution to rebuild their lives in Ireland.

The Russian Invasion of Ukraine, the Taliban takeover of Afghanistan and the greater instability across the world has resulted in a huge rise in the demand on our services and advocacy.

Thanks to your support today, we are able to continue our critical work with people seeking international protection in Ireland.

  • Our Information and Advocacy Service is busier than ever and gives people critical support during their first few months in Ireland.
  • Our Law Centre provides expert advice to help people prepare for the protection application.
  • Our dedicated Ukraine language helps refugees from Ukraine while they are trying to make their way safely to Ireland to rebuild their lives.
  • We also support refugees with accommodation, education and employment. We also work with young people who are starting their new life in Ireland.

Please donate today to help refugees, including those fleeing Ukraine and who are in desperate need of expert support.

Thanks to generous donors like yourself, in 2022, we achieved:

  • 24,000+ calls from people seeking protection were received;
  • 5,000+ e-mails from people seeking protection were replied to;
  • 82,000+ people viewed our information note in Ukrainian on our website;
  • 6 policy papers published;
  • And a lot more...
