Who is eligible for subsidiary protection?

Someone is granted Subsidiary Protection if they do not qualify as a refugee but there are grounds for believing that they would face a real risk of suffering serious harm if returned to their country of origin/country of former habitual residence. This is a status which is similar to that of refugee.
