Ireland’s record on economic, social and cultural rights to be reviewed

Posted On: November 21, 2011

On 1 December 2011, Ireland will submit its third periodic report to the United Nations Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights.

This Covenant deals with rights such as housing, adequate food, education and health.  The system of Direct Provision negatively impacts upon these rights in the case of asylum seekers in Ireland.

In conjunction with Doras Luimni, we have prepared a submission for consideration by the Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural rights.
