Irish Refugee Council Children’s Rights Summer Camp
When: June 25 – 28 2014
Where: University College Dublin
June 25 – 28 2014
This summer, the IRC will host a camp for young people aged 15 – 22 on the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child and the Committee on the Rights of the Child, Comment No. 6 ‘Treatment of unaccompanied and separated children outside their country of origin’.
The young people will learn about the United Nations framework for children’s rights and work on making a child-friendly version of Comment No. 6! This has never been done before and we are all very excited about it!
The camp is going to be organised and facilitated by the IRC youth group, the European Youth in Migration Forum. They are a group of young people exploring human rights with other young people!
We would like to open the camp up to 30 youngster (plus 10 facilitators from the youth group). The cost of participation for each young person for four days is €70. Please follow the Donate link to sponsor a participant!
