January Solidarity Dinner with MASI + RAMSI

When: 7pm - 9pm, 25 January 2017
Where: Seomra Spraoi

Join MASI + RAMSI for their very popular, monthly ‘Solidarity Dinners.’

A wonderful opportunity to eat good food, meet like-minded people and raise much needed funds for those seeking refuge and migrating in Ireland and abroad.

*Suggested donation is €5 per plate (if you have less that’s fine, if you can give more – great!)*

Money raised at this month’s event will go towards supporting the important work of MASI – Movement of Asylum Seekers in Ireland and the No Border Kitchen Lesvos in Greece. They will have speakers on the night to give an update about whats been going on with the campaign to End Direct Provision, and an update on the situation in Greece from volunteers who have just returned from working in projects there.

MASI – is an independent platform for asylum seekers to join together in unity and purpose. The collective seeks justice, freedom and dignity for all asylum seekers. They campain and struggle for the end of the system of direct provision, the right to work and education, and oppose deportations.

No Border Kitchen Lesvos – are a non-hierarchical/horizontal self-organized group of cooking activists from all over the world
that share the aim of supporting people on their journey to Europe. They are based on the island of Lesvos, Greece, a place of transit for many of those seeking refuge.

Both groups do vital work, and to be able to continue to engage effectively with these issues they need our support. So hopefully loads of you can make it to share food and stories, to learn about DP and the continuing crisis in the Mediterranean, and hopefully raise much needed funds for the groups.
