Board
The Board of the Irish Refugee Council is elected by the Annual General Meeting and is responsible for the management of the organisation between AGMs. Board members can be contacted through the Irish Refugee Council office at info@irishrefugeecouncil.ie
The Board for 2009-2010 is:
Chairperson: John Stanley, Barrister and member of the Refugee & Immigration Practitioners' Network.
Vice Chairperson: Albert Llussa I Torra, Solicitor and Individual member.
Nobuhle Nduka, Akidwa (Akina Dada wa Africa - African sisterhood).
Mary Lawlor, Front Line, the International Foundation for the Protection of Human Rights Defenders.
Reza Mirfattahi, individual member and recipient of the World Refugee Day award
Derek Shorthall, BL and co founder of Streetline a residential unit for homeless children
Fleur Smyth, accountant and member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants
